Creating a New Point Source

Follow these steps to create a new point source for tracking user engagement.

1. Blockchain

Track points based on blockchain events such as token mints or transfers.

Steps:

  1. Point Source Name: Enter the name of the contract to track.
  2. Type: Select Blockchain.
  3. Points: Specify the points users receive per token.
  4. Integration Name: Provide a descriptive name, likely tied to the attribute you're tracking.
  5. Select a Contract: Choose the contract to track.
  6. SelectOn Event :
    • Choose either Mint or First Transfer:
      • First Transfer: Ideal for external contracts initially sent to a custodial wallet. Users must transfer the token to their personal wallet to earn points.
  7. Filter By: Specify the scope of tracking:
    • By trait.
    • By specific token ID.
    • For all tokens.
  8. Create: Finalize the point source.

2. Music Streaming

Reward users for engaging with your music.

Steps:

  1. Point Source Name: Enter a name for the point source.
  2. Points: Specify the points earned per tracked activity.
  3. Type: Select Music Streaming.
  4. Name: Enter a sub-name for additional context.
  5. Album: Specify the album to track.
  6. Max Points: Define the maximum points a user can earn per week to prevent gamification.

3. Shopify Purchase

Reward users for purchases made in your Shopify store.

Steps:

  1. Point Source Name: Enter a name for the point source.
  2. Points: Specify the points earned per dollar spent (e.g., 10 points per dollar).
  3. Name: Enter a sub-name for additional context.
  4. Exclude Tags: List tags for excluding certain items from point eligibility in the Shopify store.
